The datacenter at 1350 Duane Avenue, Santa Clara, operated by Equinix and referred to as SV2, is a robust facility designed for high efficiency and security. It boasts a power capacity of 19.2 MW, ensuring reliable and continuous operation for the housed servers and equipment. The facility is equipped with N+1 power redundancy, which means that there is an independent backup power source in case of any primary power failure, ensuring uninterrupted service.
Cooling is managed through a sophisticated system designed to maintain optimal temperatures for equipment, with an N+1 cooling redundancy setup to provide additional security against overheating. The datacenter employs a chilled water cooling system, which is both efficient and effective in maintaining the necessary environment for high-performance computing.
Security is a top priority at SV2. The facility is protected by a multi-layered security system that includes CCTV surveillance, 24/7 on-site security personnel, and biometric access controls. These measures ensure that only authorized individuals can access the datacenter, safeguarding the physical security of the equipment and data.
Connectivity is another key feature of the SV2 datacenter. It offers extensive connectivity options with multiple fiber providers and diverse fiber paths. This ensures that the datacenter can provide high-speed, low-latency connections to various networks and cloud services, making it a reliable choice for businesses requiring robust and scalable connectivity solutions.
